ISLAMABAD — October 28, 2026 — Hajj 2027 Private Scheme Booking has witnessed a massive surge across Pakistan following the closure of the official government quota, with over 80 percent of allocated private seats officially filled by intending pilgrims.

Rapid Booking Surge in Private Hajj Quota

Following the completion of application processing under the government Hajj scheme, momentum shifted rapidly toward authorized private tour operators. According to official figures released by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, 80 percent of the total seat allocation reserved for the private sector has been successfully booked.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that approximately 15,000 seats currently remain available for prospective pilgrims. Intending applicants under the private scheme have already deposited a collective sum of Rs 57.50 billion toward their required Hajj dues.

Mandatory Qurbani Inclusion and Digital Payment Rules

The ministry issued important operational clarifications regarding digital transparency and mandatory package inclusions for the upcoming Hajj season:

  • Inclusion of Sacrificial Animal Fee: All private Hajj packages listed on the official Pak Hajj App and Ministry Digital Portal now mandatorily include the Qurbani (sacrificial animal) fee, fixed at Rs 55,000 per pilgrim.

  • Strict Payment Deadline: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed all private pilgrims to complete their registration and fee dues prior to November 20 using prescribed digital channels to ensure financial transparency.

  • Government Scheme Installment Extension: Earlier, the government extended the final deadline for the second installment of official Hajj scheme payments, offering a final opportunity for selected applicants to complete their dues.

Arrests in Border Health Services Vaccine Fraud

In a separate but related law enforcement development, authorities arrested three key individuals—including the head of Border Health Services—over alleged irregularities and fraud concerning mandatory vaccination services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

Ministry officials emphasized that strict monitoring protocols are being maintained across all ports of entry and registration centers to ensure smooth travel arrangements and protect pilgrims from administrative exploitation.
